TEDxJMC was established in 2019 by the joint efforts of our members and the college.
TED is a global non-profit organisation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Founded in 1984, it began as a conference focused on Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and has since grown into a platform that shares ideas across science, business, education, culture, and more.
TEDx is a programme of independently organised events licensed by TED. Inspired by TED's mission, TEDx brings communities together through live speakers and TED Talks to spark meaningful conversations and share ideas with the power to inspire change.
Over the past eight editions, TEDxJMC has established a legacy of bringing together exceptional voices and transformative ideas. From Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna to actor Hasleen Kaur and entrepreneur, author, and content creator Ankur Warikoo, our speakers have inspired audiences to think differently, embrace new perspectives, and turn ideas into action.
While our annual conference remains our flagship event, TEDxJMC extends its impact year-round through initiatives like TED Circle, an inter-college platform for discussion and collaboration, and TED Gazette, our official newsletter dedicated to sharing ideas and stories that inspire.
The eighth edition of the TEDxJMC conference was held on 27th February 2026, bringing together a vibrant community of thinkers, creators, and changemakers for a day of inspiring conversations and unforgettable performances.
This year’s theme, “Cascade: Ever Changing, Ever Becoming,” explored the transformative nature of growth. Inspired by the continuous flow of a cascade, the theme celebrated the beauty of evolution, embracing change, navigating uncertainty, and recognizing that every experience shapes who we become. Through stories of resilience, innovation, and self-discovery, the conference encouraged the audience to view change not as an obstacle, but as an opportunity for renewal.
The TEDxJMC stage welcomed an exceptional lineup of speakers, including Niki Mehra, fashion influencer and entrepreneur; Samarth Wadhwa, content creator and influencer; Kairavi Bharat Ram, founder of Typsy Beauty and social entrepreneur; Dr Kiran Sethi, dermatologist and wellness expert; Mohit Sharma, climate researcher and explorer; and Kriti Singhal, educational leader and social entrepreneur. Bringing together diverse experiences from entrepreneurship, education, media, healthcare, climate research, and social impact, their talks challenged perspectives, inspired reflection, and sparked meaningful conversations on purpose, resilience, and transformation.
The conference was further elevated by captivating performances from Tarannum, the Indian Music Society of Jesus and Mary College, whose soulful melodies set the tone for the day, and Kabeer Ali and Anubhav Silas, whose dynamic musical performance brought the conference to a memorable close.
Overall, the conference was a resounding success, fulfilling its vision of creating a platform for ideas worth spreading. Through thought-provoking talks, engaging performances, and meaningful conversations, TEDxJMC 2025-2026 inspired attendees to embrace the ever-changing journey of life, reminding them that growth is not a destination, but a continuous process of becoming.
Relive the TEDxJMC 2026 experience through our inspiring talks and captivating performances.
