Support & Counselling

Students are counselled on a multitude of important issues: academic, personal, career-related or psycho-social in nature.

Personal/Psycho-Social Counselling: The college has three part-time professional counsellors. Psychotherapy and counselling services can be availed by students experiencing psychological distress. Students are free to approach for career related advice as well. Each of the counsellors are available on their respective consultation days in the counsellor’s room, 2nd floor, above the college library. The Contact details of the counsellors are as under:

Academic and Career Counselling: The Mentor-Ward system is strictly followed in the college. The teachers are allotted a group of students for mentoring and two periods in a week are earmarked by every teacher for Mentor-Ward meeting. The College organizes talks on career counselling for the students. Specialists from various fields are invited to counsel students about prospective careers, Job seeking skills such as development of Correct Attitude, Interview Preparation and Personality Development. Admissions counselling is provided for students and parents at the time of applications through telephonic/email counselling along with personalized guidance by subject teachers. The College collaborates with IGNOU for weekly counselling sessions across its various Distance Education Programmes.
