Cauldron: The Magazine Society (English Desk) of JMC is dedicated towards curating, editing, and designing Dimensions, the annual magazine of JMC. Over the years, Cauldron has not only been providing a platform for writers, artists, and photographers but has turned into a place its members call home.
Each year, a cohort of visionary editors, artists, photographers, and designers collaborate to meticulously craft each page of Dimensions , striving to showcase the kaleidoscopic diversity of JMC students' perspectives and talents. The publication aims to reflect the collective voice of the student body, featuring thoughtful explorations of current issues and inventive storytelling.
Dimensions serves as a comprehensive chronicle of the academic year, highlighting salient developments, initiatives, and detailed reports on college and society events, thereby preserving the legacy of the institution's academic and extracurricular endeavours.
With 137 members currently (2023-2024), the English Desk of Cauldron also has a dedicated Editorial Board and Design Team. While working for Dimensions , the society also conducts its flagship competitions, ‘Word Weaves: the Annual Creative Writing Competition’, and ‘Wordcraft: A Creative Writing, Art, and Photography Competition’. Apart from these, Cauldron also conducts events, workshops, and competitions. In the last two academic sessions, the society organised events such as ‘Edit Like a Pro’ (an editing workshop), ‘Reflections’ (an upside-down poetry competition), ‘Numerical Narratives’ (a collaboration with Algorithm: Maths Department’s Newsletter on Maths Storytelling Day) and ‘In Verse’ (a poetry appreciation event in collaboration with Sunny Mugs, the Poetry Society of JMC). The society was a success at Zenith’23: the Societies’ Fundraiser with its unique Taylor Swift themed stall which sold customised friendship bracelets, “All Too Well” scarf keychains, tattoos, etc., made by Cauldron members with Taylor Swift songs booming in the background.
Cauldron is a society of many colours. If you are a writer: a warrior battling writer's block and coming out glorious, an illustrator/designer: Canva is your second language and paintbrushes your best friend, a photographer: you speak apertures and perspectives, or you are a thinker: powerhouse of ideas and strong coffee, an editor: a night owl with neck pains and accidental sticky keys or you can bend space and time mentally, and literally as a visualizer, then Cauldron is for you!

‘आयाम’ पत्रिका युवा मन का दर्पण है। ये वास्तव में एक ऐसा सशक्त प्रयास है जिससे महाविद्यालय की सभी छात्राओं को अपने भावों, विचारों और समसामयिक गतिविधियों से कोमल मन पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव को प्रस्तुत करने का मार्ग मिल जाता है। सर्जन नवीन रचनात्मकता से जुड़ी कला है। यह कला मानव मन के भीतर छुपे भावों विचारों और अनुभवों को शब्दों में पिरो कर सांझा करती है। कॉलेज पत्रिका के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों की ऐसी ही सृजनशीलता शब्दो का मूर्त रूप धारण करती है। यह सृजनात्मकता उस रंग-बिरंगे वाटिका की सूचक है जिसमें विभिन्न प्रकार की प्रकृति के अनंत दृश्य सामने आते है।
इसमें विद्यार्थियों के भावों की अभिव्यक्ति की चमक है तो कहीं समसामयिक विसंगतियों पर प्रश्नों की लड़ी । कभी यह सृजनशीलता वास्तविक यथार्थ भूमि की कठोरता में जिंदगी की झलक प्रस्तुत करती है। ऐसी ही सृजनात्मकता को प्रोत्साहित करती कॉलेज मैगजीन छात्रों को निरंतर लेखन की ओर प्रेरित करती है। सृजन के इस सफर में कॉलड्रोन पत्रिका, हिंदी डेस्क द्वारा छात्राओं की रचनाएं वार्षिक स्तर पर सदैव आमंत्रित की जाती रही है। साथ ही समय-समय पर सृजनात्मक प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया जाता रहा है।

समय-समय पर आयोजित की जाने वाली प्रतियोगिताओं और विभिन्न अवसरों के माध्यम से छात्रो में सृजन के प्रति रुचि और प्रोत्साहन को बल मिला। गत वर्षों में ऐसी सृजनशीलता को अवसरों के माध्यम से प्रोत्साहन मिला। ऐसे में वर्ष 2023-24 में इसी लक्ष्य की पूर्ति हेतू हमारी सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि यही रही कि हमने मधुबनी पेंटिंग के लिए एक कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया, जिसमें हमने अपने कॉलेज की छात्रा स्नेहा कुमारी, बी. ए. हिंदी ऑनर्स द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा को अपनी कार्यशाला के लिए संसाधन व्यक्ति के रूप में आमंत्रित किया।
हमारी सोसायटी के सदस्य दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के अन्य कॉलेजों की प्रतियोगिता में भी भाग लेकर अपनी कलात्मकसृजनशीलता को प्रस्तुत कर पुरस्कार भी ग्रहण करते हैं। ऐसे ही कुछ सदस्य जिन्होंने अनेक प्रतियोगिताओ में स्थान भी हासिल किया है:-
