Editorial Note

In a wide-ranging collection of scholarly essays, interviews with eminent writers and theorists, and, reviews of some of the latest books, Volume 2 of The JMC Review makes its own particular intervention into important arguments and on-going debates in the field of education, culture, democracy, gender justice, human rights, religion, homeland security, literary theory and masculine discourses.

It challenges definitional approaches and elaborates upon the need to critically examine the links between the micro and the macro nexus of power.

This volume also includes an interview with Nancy Fraser, the well-known American philosopher, theorist and feminist entitled, “Feminism and the Need for a Structural Transformative Politics.”
