Jesus and Mary College Education Programme is an initiative aimed at empowering young minds with education and values that go beyond the concise boundaries of literature and textbooks. The inception of JMCEP was in 1979 with the divine motto of “Learning to help by helping to learn” as National Adult Education Programme where 54 college girls taught ‘arithmetic’ to elderly kids, women from Bapu Dham and college employees. JMCEP witnessed vibrant growth and now we are a society of around 300 girls putting their best efforts to impart education to the underprivileged.
JMCEP has been a torchbearer of commitment and perseverance in its pursuit of spreading education and awareness over important issues of cleanliness and sanitisation, disease control programmes, education rights, safety handles and public wellbeing. We organise various events to benefit kids as well as the volunteers by collaborating with social organisations like Teach for India and CRY to help volunteers improvise their approach towards kids. We organise DIYs, Diwali party, New Year celebrations, movie screening and many fun activities to help kids enjoy an all-round development. JMCEP has its annual event called JMCEP Day where we gift kids with goodies and arrange refreshments for them and let them live it as their day. There’s no better feeling than seeing the satisfaction on their faces after the time we spend together amidst of the most beautiful phase of entire life: Childhood.
Join us in our pursuit of spreading the joy of learning and in our journey towards imparting value education, so as to help every individual reach their fullest potential and become active members of the society. Feel free to contact the council members and highly supportive core team regarding the procedure to be part of JMCEP family.
